I'm currently MR 28 and thus most of my playtime is focused exclusively on higher level content - hour long arbitrations, Kuva Survival and the like. While recent efforts should be commended on improving her Razorwing Ability (Aviation, Vacuum, Airborne Aura, Archwing Controls), there are still considerable and perhaps fundamental problems preventing me to fully enjoy this ability as a play style and in extension, Titania as a whole.įirst, some context as to where I'm coming from. I imagine most Titania players would agree: Razorwing is pretty much the very reason why we choose to play as Titania - it's what defines her as a warframe. But as it stands, current iteration of Tribute's activation is one of the biggest obstacles preventing me to fully enjoy Titania compared to most other warframes where ability activation barely if ever downright interrupts the player's flow of combat. However, from a game design perspective, this would mean an input inconsistency among the similarly wheeled abilities, which I understand can be a reason for hesitation. While not a definitive fix, I think this should improve the general flow a great deal. Perhaps reverse the controls - hit to activate & hold to rotate, which allows the player to prepare (hold) during down time and quicker reaction (hit) during activation. I'm not quite sure as to how this can be fixed while keeping Tribute as a wheeled ability. All of that busy work can be done reasonably well only if you've gotten used to the clunkiness and even then, the current implementation of this ability makes her entire combat flow extremely awkward compared to the previous iteration, which required less than half of the (mental) preparation per buff - see type of enemy, hit 2, refreshed. This means you can no longer comfortably keep the buffs going as you fly around shooting and hitting, especially on keyboard and mouse - in the middle of a heated combat, manoeuvring and attacking, you are required to figure out which ability you have on queue, hit to rotate, aim at an enemy, hold it (hold it again if you crosshair was slightly off while you're trying to be mobile/alive), wait for the animation, hit the randomly placed buff silhouette, and then, you finally have the buff, for 120 seconds.Ģ minutes per rotation to reactivate, doesn't sound bad on paper, except when there's 4 different buffs you have to maintain in the exact same tiresome way, in order to maximize the efficiency of her kit. Unlike Wisp, Vauban or Khora's wheeled abilities, Titania's Tribute requires the player's crosshair aiming at an enemy to work. However, even with Natural Talent band-aiding the ability to be semi-bearable, the fact that you have to hold the button to get an activation is detrimental to the fluidity of Titania's general playstyle. Natural Talent is effectively mandatory for any and all Titania builds because of how crucial Tribute buffs is to her entire kit (survivability, team buff and Razorwing Synergy). First and foremost, as that OP also heavily stressed, the casting time is TOO SLOW. The recent change for her tribute to be wheeled, while an improvement in terms of activation reliability, has greatly hindered Titania's entire combat flow. Titania Prime came, I bought her first minute.Įxcited to finally reacquaint myself with one of my hidden favourites, only to be brutally reminded why I've shelved her again and again - each time when news and changes urged me to try her once more, each time growing more disappointed at her wasted potential.īefore I make my own observations, reasoning, and suggestions, I'd like to point you all to another thread that I believe has some very sound proposals in improving Titania's overall kit:Īll of the suggestions made in this OP's thread I generally agree with and hope DE would put under serious consideration and below are some of my more detailed personal frustrations with Titania that I feel have not been addressed by this OP or enough that I'd like to expand on.
